With the entrance of this brand new year comes a LOT....I'm talking A LOT....of change, in both my personal and business life.
Last year, instead of coming up with a list of resolutions that would haunt me and heave the guilt of burning coals over my head...I decided to seek God and ask him for a word...ONE WORD that would be our years theme. Last year, it was CHEERS....in other words, CELEBRATE. I made it my goal last year to celebrate life...to be of good cheer and take heart because the one who rules and reigns has already defeated the foe. There were times that I remembered this word well, and others that I did not, and let precious, celebratory moments slip away without the slightest "HOORAY!". But, such is life. I've lived and learned and now moving forward to 2012.
This year's word: SIMPLICITY. The journey to simplicity actually started several months ago. Some of it has been forced upon us. Some we've prayed for. Some we've begged for. And some, we're looking forward to, as we desire to get back to the simple joys of life....letting go of all that hinders us from simply living a life that glorifies our Maker and keeps our hearts and motives (in all aspects of life) pure.
In the hopes of obtaining a little accountability for myself in this quest for SIMPLICITY, I'm planning on reserving one day a week to write my thoughts, plans, struggles, victories, excitement, frustrations, and celebration of SIMPLE LIVING. A mini-journal, if you will.
Meanwhile, come back soon because I'm hopping back on the blog-train...as I disappeared for while. I've got some new announcements, a few changes, and some new additions. Its going to be a GREAT year!
